How much is junk removal in BC

What goes into an estimate

Full service junk removal with 220-JUNK starts at $180. Most jobs with us range from $180 to $900.

An estimate with us is all-encompassing, including the total volume of your junk, labour, recycling and disposal fees, fuel, and trucking. We pay our staff above minimum wage, are WorkSafe BC certified, and insured — and this ensures you get a safe, reliable, and professional service every single time.

How to estimate your own load

220-JUNK trucks are larger than industry standard. This means you get better value per every cubic foot of junk than with others. In addition, you get safe, reliable, and professional service each time you book with us.

We measure our trucks in ⅛ increments. A minimum load starts at $180 and goes up from there based on how much junk you have. You only ever pay for what you fill. We use volume because it’s something we can all see - so there’s no guessing game of whether the price is fair.

Start by looking at what you have. A three seater sectional is approximately ⅛ of a load. If you were playing tetris with your stuff, how many three-seater sectionals would your junk amount to? That will give you a range of what your approximate volume may be.

You can also get in touch with us for our rate sheet, or send us photos of your items and we can get you an estimate within minutes.

Tips for an accurate estimate

Gather your junk
The closer together your items are the easier it will be for you to figure out how much stuff you have. If your items are all over the place, don’t sweat it. It’s our job to figure out how much you have and we can get you an estimate within a few minutes of receiving your photos.
Think in space and height
Roughly how much floor would the load cover if you laid it out, and how high would it stack? That's closer to how a truck fills than counting sofas and boxes.
Allow for compression
Loose items can get packed in tightly. We do our best to reduce dead-air in the bin so that you get maximum value for your junk removal service.
Photograph properly
Good lighting and a wide lens ensures we can all see the full pile. This ensures we not only estimate correctly, but that we send the appropriate equipment and the right amount of people and trucks for your project.

How to get an estimate

220-JUNK estimates are free and quick. Send us a photo of your junk or fill out an estimate request form on our website. If it’s sent during business hours, we’ll get you an estimate within a few minutes of receipt.

If your project is more complex, share the details of what you’re thinking and we’ll help you figure out the best plan. Plan your job with us to build a custom solution that helps you get through your project fast.

Common questions

How much is junk removal in Metro Vancouver?
Full-service removal starts at $180, and most jobs range from $180 to $900. We measure the truck in eighths and you only pay for what you fill.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We can provide estimates with photos or a video and send you something within a few minutes of receipt. We provide all-in estimates so you have peace of mind about your costs.
What's included in the estimate?
Junk, labour, recycling and disposal fees, fuel, and trucking. We provide our own equipment to get the job done quickly, safely, and to get your space swept up before we head out.
What does an eighth of a load look like?
A three-seater sectional, or a bed frame with a mattress and a nightstand. That's the smallest fraction we measure, and it's the easiest way to size your own junk.
What if I don't fill the whole truck?
You only pay for what you fill. That's the reason we measure in eighths rather than charging a flat rate for the truck.
How do I get an estimate?
Send photos or a video through the quote form, text them to us, or call and describe the job. For anything spread across several rooms or floors, book a walkthrough and we'll look at all of it at once.
What happens if the pile is bigger than my photos showed?
This is super common. People often throw more stuff in when they know we are coming. We’ll always confirm what we are taking before we start working, and if there’s more that has been added we’ll just let you know how much your estimate will be at that time.
Should I get a dumpster bin or book full service?
It depends on how involved you want to be. Full service means we do all of it and you're not involved. A dumpster bin means you load it yourself on your own schedule. Tell us about the project and we'll let you know which one we'd recommend.
Do you work with businesses?
Yes. We invoice commercial accounts, accept purchase orders, and can bill multiple locations to a single invoice. We can provide a certificate of insurance, and are happy to work overnight and after hours if and when needed.
