Terms of service

Effective 31 August 2026. Last updated 31 August 2026.

These terms apply when you ask us for an estimate, book junk removal, or rent a bin from us. Booking work with us means you accept them.

1. Who these terms are with

Your agreement is with 1545961 B.C. LTD., operating as 220-JUNK, of 9040 Blundell Road, Richmond, BC V6Y 2N9. We are referred to below as "we," "us" and "our," and you are referred to as "you."

2. Access to the property

You confirm that you own the items being removed, or that you have the authority of whoever does, and that you are entitled to give us access to the property.

You are responsible for safe access to the items and for a legal place to park the truck or set the bin. If we arrive and cannot get to the work, or the site is not safe to work in, we will call you before we do anything else.

3. What happens to what we remove

Ownership of everything we load passes to us once it leaves the property, and we may sort, donate, recycle or dispose of it.

Check the load before we drive away. Once it has been sorted or disposed of we cannot get an item back, so tell us about anything valuable, sentimental or confidential before we start.

4. Payment

Payment is due when the job is finished and you have agreed the final amount, unless we have arranged in advance to invoice you.

Where we have arranged to invoice you, payment is due on the terms shown on that invoice. Amounts left unpaid after the due date may accrue interest at 1.5% per month, being 18% per year, and we may recover reasonable collection expenses.

5. Changing or cancelling a booking

Tell us as soon as you know, by phone, text or email, and we will move or cancel the booking. The earlier you tell us, the more likely we can give the slot to somebody else.

We may cancel or reschedule where weather, a safety concern, a vehicle problem or something outside our control makes the job unworkable on the day, and we will offer you the next available slot.

6. Insurance and liability

We are fully insured and WorkSafe BC compliant.

If something is damaged while we are working, tell us before we leave the site where you can, and otherwise as soon as you notice it, so that we can look at it while the circumstances are clear.

We are not responsible for wear or marking that comes with moving heavy items through a building or across a surface where there was no reasonable alternative route, for damage that was already there, or for marking or settling of a driveway, lawn, paving stones or private roadway where you have asked us to place a bin.

Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our total liability for any claim connected with a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost income or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under British Columbia law.

7. Photos and information you send us

Photos and video you send us are used to prepare your estimate and to plan the job.

We sometimes photograph a job for our own records.

How we handle everything else you tell us is set out in our privacy policy.

8. This website

The wording, images, logo and design on this site belong to us and are not to be copied or reused without our written permission.

Figures on this site describe how our estimates are built rather than forming an offer, and the amount for your job is the one we give you for it. Guides and resource articles describe municipal rules and disposal practices as we understood them when we wrote them, and those change without notice.

Some pages link to sites we do not run. We are not responsible for what is on them.

9. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect, who we share it with, and how to see, correct or delete it. It forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top tells you which version you are reading. The version in force when you book is the one that applies to that job.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
